True meaning and value…

Opening the world of thought
does not depend on systems or psychologies
but on direct experience.

If we can communicate with our mind,
we can open thoughts through thoughts;
we can interpret without an interpreter.

The starting point is
to see that we are not free,
that we are trapped
in the field of emotions and thoughts.

The more deeply we understand this,
the more easily we can cut through
the bonds that restrict us.

Eventually, we can directly touch
the meaning of knowledge,
finding the source of its vitality and abundance,
and with it, true meaning and value.

This discovery is like coming home.

A more knowing inner voice…

To open inner channels of communication that now lie hidden and forgotten, we must discover new ways of linking body and mind. When we observe the flow of our energy as we go about our daily activities, we can feel what supports energy at a steady level and what drains it. By turning our attention inward, we can touch a softer, more subtle side of our senses and learn to listen to a quieter, more knowing voice.

A humble and fearless attitude of openness and generosity

Without compassion,
thoughts and actions are based on
desire for egotistical or selfish gratification.

But genuine compassion,
which is the antidote to ego,
arises from a humble and fearless attitude
of openness and generosity.

Gesture of Balance

the beauty within each thought…

The beauty within each thought and feeling is a source of security, protection, and strength.

Our self-imposed limitations fall away
before the limitless ability and intelligence of this deeper awareness.

Within the space of our deeper mind,
everything is perfect.

Relaxation nurtures the body

Simply open the feeling of relaxation as wide as possible.

The more you can do this,
the fewer distractions, problems, thoughts,
and conflicts will arise.

The ever increasing experience of relaxation
will nurture the body;
your whole being will gradually become healthy.

The flow of feeling opens the heart…

The body can help relax the mind.

The flow of feeling can relax the senses and open the heart.
Eyes can luxuriate in the beauty of light;
ears can hear tones that evoke exquisite nuances of feeling
and cause vibrations to reverberate through the body.

The nose can refresh the body with the fragrance of flowers
and scents that recall memories of crisp autumn days.

The body relishes the flow of the wind and the warmth of the sun.

Relieved of constricting pressures,
the mind responds to deep flows of feeling and offers thoughts rich in meaning.

The Joy of Being

Touch the inner essence of relaxation…

Encouragements, discouragements, neutral observations –
all of these messages may only be meaningless mind chatter,
stirred up on the surface of mind by tension or anxiety.

None of them, not even the interpretations and commentaries,
can touch the inner essence of relaxation
or invite the joy of experience to come out.

There is no need to respond to them,
follow their dialogues, or reflect on their significance.

It is not important whether you are confused or not confused,
whether or not you have thoughts.

As much as possible, let this entire stream of activity
flow by without paying it any attention.

Relax deeply and allow the body to be still and the mind to calm down.
