Just as water in a clear pool
reflects the image of the moon and stars
without being affected by that image,
awareness can effect perceptions to us
without us having to be affected by them.

This is possible
even with sharp perceptions like anger.

In place of “I am angry”,
there can simply be anger.

They are only perceptions,
transient, changeable,
and without any real substance.

We can simply observe and experience them
for what they are,
and let them go.
