Surely we should consider ourselves fortunate
to have this priceless opportunity to investigate
the truths that form the basis of human experience.
The Dharma invites us to look for ourselves and to draw our own conclusions.
In this process, our confusion, doubts, and cynicism become great resources for new knowledge.
In analyzing and investigating the sources and patterns of our pain and emotionality,
we can discover the knowledge we need to put an end to them.
Free of our most troublesome burden, we can discover our own highest human destiny.
