[When I first came to the US, I discovered] Westerners did not seem to know how to relate directly to their own bodies.

This disconnection was making the basic practice of meditation and relaxation challenging. For this reason, I felt it was important to help students learn
new approaches to the body and its responses to the world.

When body and senses are in tune,
our physical experiences can be friends and helpers,
rather than obstacles to development.
