Although it seems at first glance the most solid of all mind’s fabrications, the self is actually a weak link in the interlocking structures mind sets in place.
The self’s claim to stand as the enduring entity central to every story proves hard to maintain.
And since it is so central, once the self comes into question, the vitality drains out of the whole of what we take to be real.
