In our practice we learn to see in a wholly new way, not just to substitute one set of interpretations for another, one ordinary wary of looking with another.
Replacing a worldly view with a spiritual view, or an American view with a Tibetan view changes only the external circumstances of our lives.
It is important to go further than this, to transcend our perceptions altogether – and the easiest way to do this is through complete surrender to the Dharma.
