We are attracted to the Dharma because it appears to offer us what we think we need to be happy. But as we become more aware, we may see that tour ideas of happiness are projections that the mind has grasped and substituted for real satisfaction and learning.
The Dharma is not something we can possess. Even though at first it seems to come to us from the outside – from a book, from our teacher, or from friends – the true Dharma arises from within; it flows in our blood and unites with our heart and mind.
