Immediately there is a sense of engagement,
a reaching out to grasp, prolong, or manipulate
the constantly changing thoughts, images, or sensations.

The moment thoughts and feelings arise,
something engages the feeling
and urges us to act.

The experience is happening;
therefore it must have an owner-someone
to cognize it, relish it, or reject it.

Because experience is, ‘I’ am.

Because ‘I’ am, ‘I’ must be experiencing some ‘thing’.

But where was ‘I’ in the earliest stages of the experience?
