Serious study of Dharma begins with the recognition of the centrality of suffering in our experience and with a wish to understand how it comes about.

This wish leads directly into the topic of karma and klesha – the behavior patterns and emotionality’s that give mind’s fabrications their momentum and sustain our steady refusal to see through what mind presents.

Ultimately it shows us the need to understand the causes of our ignorance.
